R.I.P. Madge Allsop

Emily Perry has died at the ripe old age of 100. Emily was best known for her role as Dame Edna Everage’s sidekick Madge Allsop. It’s such a shame. As foils go, she was top shelf. I like to think of Madge as the original Silent Bob, only she wasn’t some chubby dude, and she didn’t like Star Wars, and she was actually silent.

She may be gone, but in a dress like this, she’ll never be forgotten:

Rest in Peace, dear Emily. May angels guide you home.
